1977: Though not officially incorporated until 1978, SAGE-Senior Action in a Gay Environment-is founded on this date in NYC with the goal of improving the lives of LGBTQ Seniors.  Today their acronym stands for “Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders” and they’re still doing important work across the country  for senior members of our community.
